What WOPA is

A WhatsApp-first assistant for UK tradespeople who want to create invoice PDFs, email customers, track what is outstanding, and mark invoices paid from chat.

What WOPA is not

WOPA is not bookkeeping software, accounting software, a bank, a payment processor, or a debt collection service.

Current beta limits

No VAT invoice support, payment links, open banking, custom sending domains, or automated bank reconciliation yet.

VAT

WOPA should not be used to claim VAT invoice support until that workflow exists. VAT-registered users need to check requirements with their accountant or tax adviser.

Late payment

Late-payment rules depend on the customer, contract, invoice, jurisdiction, and debt size. WOPA can help prepare follow-up text, but you approve it and decide what to send.

WOPA handles business contact details, customer emails, invoice information, and bank payment details. The product is being built around explicit approval, clear logs, and deletion on request.

Security basics

  • Encrypted HTTPS connections for the public site and API.
  • Access to waitlist and product data limited to people operating WOPA.
  • Confirmation gates before customer-facing invoice emails and firm follow-ups.
  • Retention and deletion handled through the privacy and data processing notices.

Core providers

The public landing page currently uses Cloudflare for hosting and waitlist storage, Resend for confirmation emails, and PostHog for analytics only if analytics cookies are accepted. Chat, database, and AI providers may vary as the product changes.

Email delivery

Invoices are emailed as PDF attachments. If an email fails, WOPA should surface the failure so you can correct the customer address or send the invoice another way.

Getting help

During early access, support is handled by the WOPA team through the same contact route used for onboarding. Urgent production support hours are not yet advertised, so the page avoids promising a fixed response time.

Do I need to download an app?

No. WOPA lives in your WhatsApp chat, it can create invoices and chase payments for you.

Can I edit before sending?

Yes. WOPA shows a draft and asks for confirmation before an invoice email or firm follow-up is sent.

Can I turn reminders off?

Yes. You can pause or stop reminders for an invoice. Marking an invoice paid also stops future reminders.

Do customers need WhatsApp?

No. Customers receive the invoice by email as a PDF attachment. WhatsApp is for you to control WOPA.

Does WOPA support VAT?

Not yet. Do not use WOPA to claim VAT invoice support until that workflow is available.

Can I use my own email or domain?

Not yet. Custom sending domains are a later roadmap item, so early invoices are sent through WOPA's email setup.

Will customers see WOPA?

Customers receive an invoice email and PDF. The exact sender details may change during early access and will be made clear before you send live invoices.
